Texas

Whitney Henderson, a native Houstonian, received her BFA as a Silas
Rhodes Scholar from the School of Visual Arts, NYC, in 2004. After
graduation, she moved to Florence, Italy, where she lived and painted,
pursuing independent studies until 2008. Her time in Florence allowed her to pursue her passion for travel abroad, where she spent expansive amounts of time photographing what would become the basis of her work.  It also inspired her painting and glazing
techniques, which comes from her appreciation of Renaissance methods. She currently resides in Houston, painting full time in her studio at Winter Street Artist Studios. She is currently represented by Elysee Fine Art.
